Keala Kennelly
Keala Kennelly has made her mark on the world by proving that a female does have a place in the surfing world's most extreme situations, and helped to inspire a whole movement. She grew up in Kauai and spent 13 years on the WCT tour dominating in heavier wave events. In 2003 she won a Triple Crown and finished runner up to the World Title. In 2005 she made history by being the first woman to be towed in at Teahupoo. Even this didn't propel her into the spotlight like her role in the 2003 major motion picture "Blue Crush." In 2006 she left the WCT tour to pursue a role as a season regular in David Milch's HBO TV drama "John from Cincinnati".
