    Hans Hedemann was a professional surfer for 17 years on the ASP, who built the surf school to teach people the passion to surf as he does. He recently competed in the 2011 Surf Masters in Brazil.

Stand Up Paddle Surfing

Hans Hedemann Surf School is now offering a tour based on the quickly growing global sport of Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Surfing. Originating right here in Hawaii, stand up paddle boarding offers surfs the ability to catch more waves in a set, and offers a better view of incoming sets. Join the Stand Up Paddle Tour to learn this new popular version of surfing at Hawaii’s best beaches.

 

Private SUP Lesson for those who want to start riding fast. Nothing beats one on one instruction to help quickly master the techniques needed to take on the legendary Hawaiian surf.  Coming by yourself?  No worries, a Private Stand Up Paddle lesson will guarantee one on one session to maximize your Stand Up Paddle lesson experience.

 

Semi-Private SUP Lesson for those who have 2 people who want to learn to surf together with a private instructor. Semi-Private lessons are great for couples and friends.  (must have 2 or more participants**)

 

Group SUP lessons provide the best value for your money and give you a safe environment to learn in. Grab a group of friends and learn how to stand up paddle.  We'll provide a surf instructor for every 3-4 students. (must have 3 or more participants**)

 

We provide complimentary hotel transportation to and from your Waikiki hotel to our Waikiki Surf Shop. All of the equipment necessary for the lesson is also included: surfboard, paddle, rash guard lycras, reef shoes and instruction.

 

**Due to the limited number of participants of this new form of surfing, you must have 2 people in your party to avail Semi-Private Rate and at least 3 people in your party to avail Group Rate.

As a courtesy for our scheduled surf instructors, please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule our stand up paddle surf experience. There will be no refunds given to reservations changes within 24 hours prior to the lesson.
